The Fiction of Jennifer Harington Brizzi
Completed, but not yet published
Pawn in the Sun
Snared in mob activity in Southern Italy, a young American woman traveling alone finds unexpected romance.
Ravenous: A Novel
An epic Orwellian tale of Rachel Coe, a repressed orphan in a future Boston suburb, who falls in love with Seth Barrera, the charismatic leader of a futile revolution. This novel is not to be confused with Brizzi's food column of the same name (the novel was first).
Thou Shalt Not
Devastated by the violent death of her older sister, a woman stifled by a passionless marriage falls into dangerous, adulterous love.
In Progress
Ash to Ashes (working title)
This is the story of two kinds of love, the kind that endures and the kind that doesn't. In New Orleans, James Bond-wannabe Nathan Quintilian realizes on his honeymoon that he despises his sexy bride Billie. Meanwhile in North Carolina Billie's polished mother Jeannette struggles to keep from falling back to the boozy squalor of her roots.
Eliza and Jack
The true story of Elizabethan court wit Sir John Harington (Brizzi's eight-greats grandfather). In this novel, he fends off his wife, saucy ladies of the court and even the Queen Herself, while he pens baudy poetry, publishes scathing satire and invents the flush toilet.
